Hi team, and Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day has always stood as a celebration of our country's working men and women -- and their right to organize for fair wages, safe working conditions, and secure retirements.

When I look back at the history of the Labor movement, I'm reminded that Wisconsin led the way in fighting for workers' rights. Wisconsin's very own Milwaukee Labor Reform association fought for the eight-hour workday by organizing marches and building a movement that passed the first Workmen's Compensation law.

Wisconsin led the way in labor reform.

That's why it's so disappointing to see how our state has turned its back on our brothers and sisters in the Labor movement. While the House passed the PRO ACT, a big step towards stronger labor reforms that have been chipped away at for years, Rep. Bryan Steil once again stood with special interests -- and voted against working men and women. He voted against the Wisconsin way.

Now more than ever, I know we need strong unions, and the ability for workers to organize. That's why I'm so proud to be endorsed by ELEVEN unions, including our newest addition, AFSCME!

We're going to get our economy back on track, because the people of Wisconsin, and our nation, have always stepped up. I believe in Wisconsin, and I believe in Wisconsin's working families. We can once again lead the way, but first, we need a leader that votes and works for Wisconsin's working families, not against them.

Celebrate this Labor Day, the Wisconsin way, by showing your appreciation to your family and friends, and remember those that led us here.
