Happy Labor Day to all of the hard-working men and women who make our nation better! 

Today, we celebrate the contributions of America's working men and women, and all that the labor movement has accomplished.

As a Democratic member of Congress and co-founder of the Congressional Blue Collar Caucus, I have always fought to secure good-paying jobs for working families in every corner of our country. 

• In 2021: Democrats underscored our commitment to workers by passing the PRO Act that helps rebuild the middle class by protecting workers’ basic right to join a union.
• In 2021: Democrats passed the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that is making life better for millions of Texas residents — creating a generation of good-paying union jobs and economic growth.
• In 2022: Democrats passed the CHIPS and Science Act that helps bring well-paying jobs back to America. The bill makes key investments in the manufacturing sector, ensuring more critical goods are produced in America and will create jobs here in North Texas.
• In 2022: Democrats passed the historic Inflation Reduction Act to fight inflation and create millions of well-paying union jobs that will help reduce emissions across every sector of our economy.

In the upcoming months, I look forward to building on these legislative victories that are helping workers in every corner of our country. Once again, I want to thank and celebrate all of our workers in North Texas and beyond. Your work is appreciated, and I will always be your champion in Congress.
