Tuesday Event & Wednesday Candidate Forum   Dear Friend, This race is heating up. Please see our letter to the editor from Harold Hawkes resident of Melrose. Harold highlights the fact that Congresswoman Clark is debate dodging again. He also discusses the important threat facing our nation from China and Biden's college loan forgiveness vote scheme. We are pleased that the Boston Herald decided to publish it. Also, our campaign will have two huge events this week. See the invitations below for details. The first is a Primary Night Fundraiser in Medford on Tuesday followed by a Candidate's Forum hosted by a senior advocacy group Wednesday in Weston. Congresswoman Katherine Clark, sadly, has failed to respond to the invitation to participate in the forum. There is a possibility that I will be there without my opponent. Despite our Congresswoman ignoring the invitation to participate, I hope to see you there! See the invitation below. Thank You for all your support! Caroline Paid for by Caroline Colarusso for Congress Letter to the Editor Rep. Katherine Clark I have recently learned that U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark has refused an invitation from the League of Women Voters to participate in a voter forum with her challenger Caroline Colarusso for the U.S. House of Representatives seat for the Massachusetts Fifth Congressional District. The arrogance of Rep. Clark is palpable and a slap in the face to her constituents. I have several questions that I would like to ask my representative in Congress, in person, at a voter forum because the answers that I get to questions that I email to Rep. Clark usually feel as though they are written by her staff, not her. They are generally stock “boiler plate” that are remotely related to the question or subject of my email correspondence. I recently emailed Rep. Clark to ask if she thought that President Biden’s student loan forgiveness executive order was fair and legal? I have yet to receive an answer. Clark faced Caroline Colarusso in a Zoom League of Women Voters debate two years ago in advance of the 2020 November election. One of the questions that I recall from that debate was, “What’s the greatest threat to the United States.” Clark’s answer was “climate change.” Colarusso stated, “China.” I think that Colarusso had the better answer. It’s too bad that Clark is either an elitist or coward because she declines to debate her opponent in this year’s November election. She owes her constituents an opportunity to be heard; her opponent is certainly willing. — Harry Hawkes, Melrose Tags: letters to the editor Boston Herald editorial staff Colarusso Primary Night Event SEP. 6th 2022, 6:00 – 8:00 PM Medford61 Locust St, Medford MA 02155 This Wednesday in Weston I have been invited to participate in AMAC's (Association of Mature American Citizens) Candidate Forum. It is disappointing that Congresswoman Clark has not responded to their invitation. Nevertheless, I will be there even if I am greeted by an empty chair. Please join us and attend. This forum has plenty of seating and you will hear me discuss the important issues our country is facing.
