Thanks good talk.
Hey John,

How odd is modern life getting? We're spinning on a marble in outer space, and somehow the water doesn't spill out, while we're making it unlivable for ourselves, because we're all busy being sexy on Instagram. Or learning the exact timing and words of other people's thoughts, so we can lip sync to it and post it as our own content. And yet we are dependent on these posts. Like they were air. Except as far as I've been told, they're not. (Humans as of now are still unable to survive solely by breathing TikTok. But stay tuned.)

And in the midst of all this, my Facebook page @BenGleib has been hacked, and stolen from me. At the worst time because I've been waiting patiently for six years since my last special for the opportunity to film my next one, and after all that time, my new hour special just dropped on YouTube, of course a few days after my page and identity was stolen, making it impossible to promote it to a big chunk of my fan base. And for whatever reason, Facebook can't seem to get the page back over to me. Even though it's their own website, and so you'd think they'd be able to do whatever they like.

The good news is the reviews for my special, The Mad King, have been the best of my life. Just read what Nikki Glaser, one of the best comedians doing it today, said about it on her podcast... "This was Bill Burr levels good. Without question. Carlin-esque... Ben Gleib changed the way I think about certain things... He's just one of the funniest...That's the mark of something great, it made me really want to buckle down and focus on my writing. Ben is operating on a level where I was like, I aspire to write some jokes like this."

And then the amazing director of "The Aristocrats" and host of Showtime's "The Greenroom with Paul Provenza" tweeted "This is SO good" and iconic comedy filmmaker Judd Apatow retweeted it.

Then comedy producer Barbara Romen said "If you're a George Carlin officianado @BenGleib's fearless new special is just for you." This meant the world Carlin is the reason I'm a comedian, and the best TO EVER LIVE, so this is all the highest praise possible.

And then a moment happened that almost made me cry. The brilliant Kelly Carlin tweeted the following, on George Carlin's official Twitter account!!!  "I think you'll like this special by @bengleib. It reminds me of elements of my dad's approach." I mean there's nothing else I can say.

You can watch the special HERE. And if you like it, please help me spread the word by sharing on your socials. Every little bit ripples farther than you think. Your people will listen, especially if you rarely endorse a comedy special. And I could use the extra promo at the moment. On account of hackers in Mauritania currently pretending they're me.

As this stolen identity saga continues, I'm still dropping new TYT Rebel HQ commentary videos three days a week, something hackers are unable to do, (see them HERE), and I'm dropping 5 standup and other videos every week on IG, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter. Many of us, myself included, redundantly posting the same thing multiple places, wasting our time, and probs not following best practices.  Whatever, we're human, not perfectly efficient robots.

Lastly, if you still live anywhere in the world, and haven't moved to another planet since the last paragraph, this Saturday is the only “GLEIB OFF THE TOP: Crowd Work & Improvised Madness” for September. That's this weekend Saturday, September 3 at 5pm PT/8pm ET. This show is for you if you want to forget about the problems of the world and just laugh and be silly, and come hang with me in our global fictional town called MAD TOWN, where we all see and hear each other and have a stupid good time. Come be one of the Mad Ones. Get a ticket HERE.

See you soon, and thanks as always for the support. It means so much to me.
