John,
Democrats have MORE good news about our chances in the midterm elections.
Check out yesterday’s numbers on FiveThirtyEight’s tracker of the “generic ballot” that shows nationwide whether voters prefer Democrats or Republicans in Congress.
After lagging behind for most of the year, Democrats are AHEAD.
|
Generic Ballot as of 8/29:
Democrats: 44.3%
Republicans: 43.8%

Experts thought holding the House this November was all but impossible. But we’re proving that we can protect our House majority.
It’s not all good news, though. A small Democratic advantage on the generic ballot doesn’t erase the gains Republicans made in redistricting. That’s right: more Americans could vote for Democrats in November, and we could STILL lose the House.
We need to widen our lead significantly to make sure we have the power to hold the majority. But we’ve made so much progress in August alone, I know we have the strength to finish the final 70 days before Election Day strong.
Will you please contribute $10 or more immediately so we can elect the Democrats we need to make history and secure our House majority? Our August goal is tomorrow and we’ve worked too hard to fall short now.

Let’s do this!
Tedra
P.S. My team says nobody contributes to emails with good news, so I need you to prove them wrong. Contribute anything you can before tomorrow’s August deadline!
