It’s been less than 48 hours since we set our $50,000 grassroots goal to close out August, and I’m heartened to see so many of you chip in to help defeat Trump’s conspiracy theorist secretary of state candidates. Saving our democracy depends on people like you.
But I have to be honest, because this is important — we’re still short of this new goal, and I’m starting to worry. Not hitting this budget target means scaling back on our plans. When you’re up against Donald Trump and the extreme candidates who’ll help him rig the next election, coming up short isn’t an option.
We set this final August goal for a reason — because before we head into the final two months of the election, we need to secure enough resources to make a difference in these races.
