We're less than six months out from Election Day, which means the rubber is hitting the road.

Every person running for Chicago Mayor has to collect 12,500 signatures to qualify for the ballot — which is 5,000 more signatures than party-affiliated candidates for Illinois governor need, and three times as many signatures as are required for Mayoral candidates in big cities like New York. *And,* all signatures must be collected in person.

TLDR: qualifying for the ballot is a big challenge that requires a lot of organizing and resources, even for an incumbent Mayor.

For years, it was used to keep the establishment in place. Mayor Lightfoot broke down that wall when she ran for Mayor in 2018, but she'll need the same grassroots support behind her to win reelection.

We set an ambitious fundraising goal for August to make sure we can support our field team while they collect signatures. Will you help us cross the finish line by chipping in now?

$5 buys water and a snack for a volunteer >>

$10 gets us 20 clipboards to collect signatures >>

$20 pays for flyers, pamphlets, and other canvassing materials >>

$50 allows us to get matching shirts and hats for our team >>

$100 helps us organize events to reach voters >>

Thank you!
