You’ve heard me talk a lot on the campaign trail this year about the need to protect reproductive freedom in Washington State. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade this summer, it’s up to us to ensure our right to choose is protected and expanded in our state.

But even in a pro-choice state like Washington, there are people on the other side trying to take our freedom from us. Anti-choice groups are targeting our state as their next battleground, now that they’ve successfully banned abortion in so many states.

There is an extreme anti-abortion group called The Church at Planned Parenthood that has been staging monthly protests in front of Planned Parenthood clinics across Washington. Their aim: harassing and interfering with patients and healthcare workers, disrupting appointments — and even causing them to be canceled.

This is terrifying. This is not who we are.

I am deeply concerned about this rising tide of anti-abortion extremism in our state. If you send me back to the State Senate this year, I’m determined to work harder than ever to protect and expand abortion access.

My opponent is one of the most anti-choice legislators in Olympia. He has sponsored multiple bills to restrict or completely ban abortion in Washington State. This fight is on the state level now, and we can’t let people like him hold power. We can’t let people like him take away our rights. But I need your help.
