Our first big deadline after making sure Jamaal is the Democratic nominee to continue representing NY-16 in Congress is in just two days.
The whole team at the Bowman Campaign HQ is so grateful for everything our supporters have made possible, John. It's thanks to grassroots donors giving what they could that we were able to afford to campaign vigorously and win our primary election decisively.
Now, we're in the General Election against a GOP candidate, and we can't take anything for granted. I checked the numbers and we're still just short of our $50,000 goal for the General Election Fund.
When we open up our fundraising dashboard, this is what we see:
There's been a pretty steep drop-off since our primary election, but we have to keep up the fight to keep Jamaal as our progressive champion in Congress.
We know that Republicans and even conservative Democrats will go to any length to stop our progressive vision from becoming a reality. It'll take all of us working together to make sure we keep pushing for change.
