Despite constant GOP obstruction, Lori and Democrats in Congress have been DELIVERING for the American people . Here’s just a few things we’ve been able to achieve in the past two years:

➔ Passed the American Rescue Plan to provide immediate relief to millions of American families struggling to make ends meet during the COVID pandemic.
➔ Passed the Inflation Reduction Act to rein in rising costs, lower prescription drug prices, invest billions of dollars into clean energy, and close corporate tax loopholes.
➔ Passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to provide historic investments that will upgrade our roads, bridges, transit systems, and drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.
➔ Passed the first major gun safety legislation in decades to combat the epidemic of mass shootings and protect our children.

Unfortunately, while Democrats are delivering big wins for the American people, their Republican colleagues have been trying to undermine and reverse every step of progress we’ve made to strengthen our nation. Congressional Republicans have spent their time fighting to strip away our rights and obstruct meaningful legislation that would help working people .

➔ Following the Dobbs ruling that rolled back reproductive rights, the GOP has tried to restrict the rights to contraception and same-sex marriage as well .
➔ While Democrats worked to lower prescription drug costs, Senate Republicans voted against capping the price of insulin at $35 .
➔ While Democrats have worked to support working families struggling with rising food costs, Republicans voted against a bill to provide millions in aid to address the baby formula shortage .

Why would the GOP fight against these efforts to help the American people and instead focus on stripping away their fundamental rights? Because they care more about the profits of their corporate backers and special interest groups than the voters they were elected to serve.
