350.org

Hi John,

I'm writing to you today because we are behind on our fundraising goal for the Global Trainings Week. But before I ask you to donate, I want to tell you about how 350.org helped me go from an introvert to a climate activist. Let me explain:

I don't always feel comfortable being in front of a crowd or being rowdy. However, the amazing leadership and volunteers with 350 Wisconsin and other local 350 chapters have really inspired me and supported me in stepping up my role in rallies and actions.

I'm so proud to say that in the summer of 2019, I was able to step far out of my comfort zone to join a sit-in at our local Chase Bank branch to protest their role in funding the climate crisis. Since then, I've continued stepping out of my comfort zone because the fight for our climate is too important to sit on the sidelines.

Last week, I — alongside activists from local 350 groups — led a huge action in Jackson Hole to demand that the Federal Reserve make climate a priority for economic policy. And it's thanks to 350 trainings and resources that I was able to get to this point.

The Global Trainings Week is all about providing that same support, coaching and guidance to the next generation of climate activists. So if you've been waiting for the right moment to make your first contribution, this would be the perfect time:

Can you make your first $3.50 contribution to support the Global Trainings Week? Your donation will help train young people around the globe to grow into their voice as climate activists.

I've always identified as an environmentalist, but I became a climate activist when I realized that the change we need is not going to happen unless everyday people like me get involved in whatever capacity they can.

These days, I'm focusing hard on our Fossil Free Fed campaign. When people think of the Fed, they mostly think of things like inflation rates. But, we're really hoping to educate the public on how essential it is for the Fed to recognize the climate crisis as a major economic threat, and act accordingly.

What's so amazing about this 350 campaign is that there are literally HUNDREDS of climate campaigns just like this one targeting financial institutions in countries and communities all over the world.

Your support today will help supercharge these climate campaigns by empowering the next generation of activists to stand up and fight back. Can I count on you today, John?

Please make a contribution today so we can grow our climate movement and train activists all over the world.

Thank you for chipping in today. It means so much to all the activists here in the US and around the globe.

In solidarity,

Emily Park
