Election Update

There are less than 75 days left until Election Day, and Team MLG is hard at work. We're running phone banks, knocking on doors, and spreading the word about the Governor's agenda to keep New Mexico blue. We're so grateful to have a huge network of grassroots supporters on this team. If you are a New Mexico resident who would like to volunteer to elect Democrats down the ballot this November, please follow this link to join our team.

Gun Safety Reform

While the Governor's GOP opponent is endorsed by the NRA, Gov. Lujan Grisham is doing everything in her power to prevent gun violence. That's why Gabby Giffords – a former Congresswoman, gun violence survivor, and gun safety advocate – just endorsed the Governor's reelection campaign and joined her at a campaign event.

At the event, Gabby Giffords told the crowd, "We need more leaders like Governor Lujan Grisham, leaders who will stand with the majority of Americans who support commonsense change. We are endorsing her today because she acknowledges the heartbreak gun violence causes across her state and is working to stop it."

Education

Gov. Lujan Grisham understands that teachers are the heart of our education system, so she raised teacher pay last year to compensate educators for their hard work and to do her part to end the nationwide teacher shortage. Her plan worked: New Mexico now has the highest teacher pay in the region, and over 2,000 people have received teacher licenses since February. This is a huge win for our education system and the next generation of New Mexico students!
