Don’t let the energy crisis snowball into a debt crisis

Hi friend,

Today Ofgem, the energy regulator, announced that bills could soar to over £3,549 a year by October. Unless we act fast this could plunge more families into debt.

In a few days we’ll have a new Prime Minister. We have to let the government know loud and clear that they must act urgently to bring down energy bills and help people with their debts.

Rising living costs are hitting people hard, and with energy bills soaring more and more people are being forced to borrow.

Citizens Advice predicts 13 million families will go into debt trying to pay for power this winter. Once in debt, it can be really hard to get out, energy debts can follow you around for up to six years.

The government needs to act to cut bills now, and they urgently need to help families with their debts.
