Hi John,
Since 2019, Texas coast communities have been fighting to stop oil giants Enterprise and Enbridge from building a massive crude oil export project through their home.
Known as “SPOT”, the proposed project will increase toxic air pollution, threaten wildlife and their marine habitats, and make climate change worse.
The project is now in its final stage of consideration, and we need your help to finally stop SPOT!
Tell the federal government to stand with Gulf Coast communities and deny SPOT!
Enbridge Energy is the same company that forced the massive Line 3 tar sands oil pipeline through Anishinaabe communities in 2021, causing millions of dollars in damages to precious aquifers and rivers, funding local police to arrest over 1,000 water protectors, and committing the world to the equivalent of 50 new coal plants worth of carbon emissions. Now, that same pipeline giant is looking to bring its destruction to the Gulf Coast.
The SPOT project will increase toxic air pollution in Brazoria County, which already suffers from air quality that fails to meet EPA health standards. Texas Coast communities are hit the hardest by climate change, which is caused by the emissions from fossil fuel production and use.
This is the last opportunity to raise concerns on the SPOT project. We can’t let the fossil fuel industry contaminate Gulf wetlands, beaches, air and waters again!
Submit a comment to the final decision makers today.
From the headwaters of the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico, our communities are standing against Enbridge’s racist extraction and destruction.
Thank you for taking action,
Akilah Sanders-Reed, former Pipeline Resistance Organizer at PSN
