First, let me tell you what we’re up against. My opponent Chris Carr is a radical Republican who will stop at nothing to push his party's extreme agenda on ordinary Georgians. He's sued to overturn the Affordable Care Act, he's implemented extreme abortion restrictions, and he's defended the gun lobby after taking max-out contributions from them. One thing is clear: Chris Carr does not stand up for everyday Georgians.
John, I believe that Georgians are ready for change. As Attorney General, I will never stop fighting to protect the freedom, liberty, and privacy that Georgians hold dear — and I'll take on special interests like polluters and the NRA.
But after this coming Wednesday, our campaign will be in a full sprint to the finish line. Since we rely heavily on grassroots fundraising, it is crucial that we hit each and every fundraising goal in order to power our movement all the way through to November.
We recently learned that Chris Carr's allies at the Republican Attorneys General Association are pouring over $2 million into Georgia, and if we're to combat this out-of-state money, we need to hit each and every remaining fundraising benchmark.
