In case you missed it, New Mexico voters went to Clovis this weekend to demand Democrats like Xochitl Torres Small ‘Stop the Madness’ and vote NO on the baseless impeachment witch hunt against President Trump.
Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce called on New Mexico’s three congressional representatives to stand with their constituents. Pearce specifically singled out Torres Small, saying, “Xochitl Torres Small knows her back is up against the wall when it comes to impeachment. It is unacceptable that she is even considering voting with Nancy Pelosi and the left-wing of her party when she ran for her seat on promises of bipartisanship and reaching across the aisle. We deserve to know where she stands – and if she ultimately votes ‘yes’ on impeachment, New Mexicans will vote her out next year.”
Today’s counter-impeachment event is part of a nationwide effort to hold vulnerable Democrats, like Xochitl Torres Small, Ben Ray Lujan, and Debra Haaland, accountable for their extreme actions and politically motivated behavior. In October, the RNC debuted a new website, StopThe Madness.gop which operates as a one-stop clearing house to defend the president – including opportunities for people to sign up as a volunteer, details on how to show up to a counter protest, and more. A $10.3 million TV and digital buy is also part of the nationwide push against 60+ vulnerable Democrats who campaigned on reaching across the aisle to work with President Trump.
“Today’s demonstration should worry New Mexico Democrats like Xochitl Torres Small. Voters made it clear that they will not tolerate being sold out by their congressional representatives in favor of Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. If they vote against the wishes of their constituents this week, good luck to them in 2020,” said Trump Victory Spokesperson Samantha Zager.
