The YMCA, which is supposed to be a family-friendly place to enjoy sports and build communities has gone woke.
Now, they are endangering women and children by caving into transgender ideology.
Right here in my District in Washington, an 80-year-old grandmother named Julie Jaman has been banned from her local Port Townsend YMCA for simply demanding that a biological male not be allowed in the locker room while she showered and little girls undressed.
I recently attended and spoke at a press conference in support of Julie, who was there to share her story. Unfortunately, a large number of unruly transgender ideology advocates showed up and made it their mission to shout us down.
But we will not be intimidated or silenced!

There is no place for biological men in women’s locker rooms, in women’s sports, in women’s prisons, or any other space designated for women only.
To allow men into these spaces and arenas is an assault on women’s and girls’ privacy, safety, and rights. It is harmful and it is dangerous.
I will always defend women and young girls from these twisted policies that open the door wide to potential abusers and groomers. I will stand up to the insanity and make women’s locker rooms safe again.
