By now, we’re sure you’ve already heard of our Republican opponent, Gerald
Malloy. In a moment, we’ll explain why he is the wrong choice for Vermont,

As Vermont’s Congressman, Peter has been working to deliver on our shared
priorities—lowering prescription drug prices, protecting reproductive
rights, a Green New Deal, and so much more. And he’s ready to get to work
on Day One as Vermont’s next Senator.
His opponent, a Trump-aligned Republican who moved to Vermont just two
years ago, has been doing the opposite. He’s been positioning himself as
far right as possible, taking a strong stance against any additional gun
control legislation and letting us know now that he would vote to ban
abortions federally, with no exceptions.
His
policies are so extreme and anti-democratic—here’s what he had to say when
asked about the January 6 insurrection:

This November, voters will have a choice: an extremist Trump-aligned
Republican or Peter’s progressive voice. And there’s simply too much at
stake, we can’t afford to lose.
Right now, our opponent claims to be fueled by a Super PAC—electing him
would mean powerful outside interests in Vermont advancing Mitch
McConnell’s and the GOP interests, against the interest of everyday
Vermonters. We can’t let this happen.
It’s clear: McConnell, the GOP, and our extremist opponent are focused on
winning this open seat in Vermont, because if they win here, Democrats
will lose our Senate majority. With the future of our democracy at stake,
we need to come together and ensure Peter is victorious.
Our
opponent already pulled off one major upset by winning the primary when no
one, even Mitch McConnell, thought he could. With less than 90 days until
election day, we need to show our strong support for Peter and send a
message that our opponent's extremism isn't what Vermont is about.
