Call for Volunteers! Post-Flood Cleanup Details

*Help with litter cleanups around Fort Worth!*

With this week?s rainfall and resulting floods, large amounts of debris and litter can be seen along many waterways to include the Trinity River, Lake Worth and Lake Arlington.? This problem highlights the importance of litter control everyday.

The City of Fort Worth and community partners are working together to quickly clean up our community after the flood, and we need your help! Volunteers, community groups, and organizations can expect free supplies to cleanup along the Trinity River and other impacted areas around the city. After litter and debris is collected, there will be multiple options for disposal, including the City's four Drop-off Stations [ [link removed] ].

Join us at the Haws Athletic Center, 600 Congress St., 76107 at any of the following times. Safety is a priority, and individuals or groups of volunteers can come and go as their schedules allow.

*Trinity River Cleanup Schedule*

For August 25-28, 2022:

*Thursday?? 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.*

*Friday?? 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.*

*Saturday?? 8 - 11 a.m.*

*Sunday ??8 - 11 a.m.*

"You do not need to register to support this cleanup. Anyone is welcome during the posted times, and disposal information will be provided on site."

Supply Pickup Schedule

On Thursday, Aug. 25 and Friday, Aug. 26, supplies can be picked up at the following times/locations:

*Panther Island Parking Lot (off Purcey)* 395 Purcey St. Fort Worth, TX 76102

On Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28, supplies can be picked up at the following times/locations:

*White Settlement Trailhead Park* *Clear Fork Trailhead* 4570 White Settlement Rd. 4801 Edwards Ranch Rd. Fort Worth, TX 76114 Fort Worth, TX 76109 ? ? *Panther Island Parking Lot (off Purcey)* 395 Purcey St. Fort Worth, TX 76102

Upcoming Post-Flood Cleanups

Efforts at Lake Worth and Lake Arlington are also underway. Volunteers may choose to pick up along lake shorelines. However, to address floating debris in the lakes, staff and contractor resources will be deployed.
