Yesterday,
16 of my fellow Attorneys General and I sent a letter to Morningstar, a
Billion Dollar financial firm, demanding answers for its support of the
Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement towards Israel in its
ESG pension investments.

As Fox News reported on our actions, The
BDS movement is an anti-Semitic campaign to intimidate the Jewish
people and delegitimize the State of Israel. The movement advances
these aims through academic, cultural, and economic initiatives that
punish people and firms for doing business with Israel. According to
the co-founder of BDS, it “oppose[s] a Jewish state in any part of
Palestine.”

The increasing trend among Investment Management Firms
to use public pension plans - that is, YOUR tax money - to push their
own political agenda is simply wrong.

We must put a stop to it.
