This Week on the Campaign Trail Things are heating up on the trail as summer begins to wind down! We are working hard to meet every voter in the tenth district and earn their support, but we need your help! Every effort is appreciated, whether it be volunteering your time, contributing, or placing a yard sign in your lawn. The stakes of this election are too high to sit on the sidelines. |
Afghanistan Withdrawal Last week marked one year since Joe Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan began. As a twenty-five-year veteran of Navy Special Operations, this unfortunate anniversary is especially on my mind this week. My last deployment to Afghanistan ended in January of 2021. Six months later, I watched Kabul fall, eerily similar to what my family experienced during the fall of Saigon. Let us not forget the thirteenth servicemen and women who lost their lives this month, one year ago. And let us not forget the fourteenth serviceman who would later die following the completion of the withdrawal. |
RNC Veterans Outreach Center Last week, I joined Congressman Rob Whitman, Attorney General Jason Miyras, and others for the grand opening of Virginia’s first Republican Veterans Community Center in Virginia Beach. As a veteran, I’m committed to serving the tenth district’s veterans and being their strongest advocate in Congress. Our district is home to many former military, law enforcement, and intelligence community members, and they deserve a Representative in Washington who will actually listen to their concerns and address their often-overlooked challenges. |
Winsome Endorsement Last week, I was thrilled to accept the support of Virginia’s Lt. Governor, Winsome Earle-Sears! Winsome and I are one of the many diverse faces of the Republican party here in Virginia. As they did in 2021, Virginians are ready to elect leaders that share their values and we are both working hard to share those values with all residents of the Commonwealth. Let's get the government to work with us, not above us! |
The Truth with Lisa Boothe Last Thursday, I was a guest on The Truth with Lisa Boothe. I shared my family's story of fleeing communism and discussed my professional career. Lisa and I also spent time talking about the implications of the Afghanistan withdrawal and where we are as a country and a military now. Be sure to listen to the great conservation: The Truth with Lisa Boothe: From the Military to Congress with Hung Cao |
