I got to know Jeff personally on the campaign trail, and I want to tell you what I saw.  ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Jeff Jackson and Cheri Beasley.

Friends,

I saw Jeff a lot last year.

As he and I criss-crossed the state, we attended countless forums, and community events together.

Here’s what I want to tell you about him:

He’s the person you think he is.

Jeff works hard, he stays positive, and he’s in public service because he truly believes in it.

I asked to send this email for him because the choice between Jeff and his opponent — who doesn’t even live in the district — is incredibly clear.

Jeff has spent years fighting for priorities that would serve us well. He’s been a leader in the fight against gerrymandering and a strong supporter of early childhood education. He’s co-sponsored Medicaid expansion and the Equal Rights Amendment, helped pass important criminal justice reforms, and he has always stood for reproductive freedom.

Yes, I have my own race to run, but I also know how important it is to have members of Congress who are actually there to work for you. Jeff is already a friend, but after November, it’s my hope that he will also be an ally as we both work to deliver genuine accomplishments for our state.

With fewer than 100 days to go until the election, I hope you’ll take a moment to chip in to help Jeff. It would mean a lot to me, and to our state.
