When Mike Lee first ran for public office back in 2010, he made a promise to all Utahns that he would serve a maximum of two terms in the U.S. Senate. But now he’s running for a third.

Well, time’s up, Mike. If you’re not interested in keeping your promise to Utahns, there’s a coalition of Republicans, Democrats and independents willing to do whatever it takes to hold you accountable.

Mike Lee’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Lee has been an avid supporter of term limits in Congress, even co-sponsoring legislation that would limit members of both the House and Senate to a maximum of 12 years in office.

But when it comes to keeping his promise to Utahns and living up to that standard himself, Lee has failed Utah. He’s proven incapable of putting the interests of our state and country above his own.

The majority of Utahns are ready for Mike Lee to leave Washington — and for more unifying and effective leadership — but he’s not going to leave on his own.
