Colin and his Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate have had an extremely busy summer, and we wanted to make sure you were aware of some of Colin’s biggest accomplishments over the past few weeks.
First, Democrats worked alongside some Republicans to pass the CHIPS and Science Act, which provides $280 billion of investments in American semiconductor chip manufacturing and research and development to allow the United States to lead the world in developing and manufacturing cutting-edge technologies.

Then, Colin and his House colleagues passed the PACT Act, which expands health care to veterans who were exposed to toxic chemicals while serving in the Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan Wars. This expansion of benefits is long overdue and Colin was proud to deliver for America’s vets.

Now , President Biden has officially signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law. This bill, passed by 50 Democrats in the Senate and 220 Democrats in the House, will help lower costs, keep prices low for health care plans through the Affordable Care Act, cap out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs for folks on Medicare, allows Medicare to negotiate prescription prices with pharmaceutical companies, sets us on the path to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030, and enforces a 15% tax on corporations worth a billion dollars or more.

This is an unprecedented amount of success and fantastic news for North Texans and our country. Colin is proud to have fought to get each of these bills passed.
