It’s been a tough week over here in the Valley. The breaking poll showing us tied was a real gut punch. As you know, our team on the ground has been working incredibly hard the past year organizing volunteers, registering voters and even dealing with vandalized yard signs.

I told my team today that this poll wasn’t a reflection of their work, but instead a reminder of how important the work they are doing really is. Every single vote is going to matter in this race.

This has been a galvanizing moment for us, and my team and I have been going back and forth all week about how we’re going to respond effectively. So here’s the plan:

First, we’re hiring brand new organizers to ramp up our efforts to contact undecided voters.

Second, we’re launching a brand new round of digital ads to tell voters just how extreme my opponent Tom Patti really is.

Third, we decided to launch our TV ads a week earlier than expected.

All of this has led to a large budget crunch because we’re spending our resources quicker than we thought we’d need to, and now we’re falling short of our next fundraising goal.
