We just got results from the latest poll in our race for Illinois’ 17th District. As it stands, it’s an exact tie between Eric and his opponent, Esther King.   
These results confirm what we’ve long known. This race is going to be extremely competitive and will come down to the wire. The upshot: every grassroots contribution fueling our efforts to win this race will have a massive impact.

Despite the tough headwinds Democrats expect headed in the midterm, this poll proves there is strong, local support for our campaign and the values Eric brings to the table. Residents of the 17th are ready to combat climate change, protect reproductive freedoms, and strengthen our flawed healthcare system.

Keep in mind: The Republicans’ dark money machine has already committed upwards of $3 million towards attack ads to bolster our opponent’s campaign and slow Eric’s momentum. The race may be a dead heat now, but this influx of cash from special interest could tip the balance. We can’t lose any momentum.
