We must be very clear-eyed about the threat we face and about what is required to defeat it. I have said since January 6, that I will do whatever it takes to ensure Donald Trump is never again anywhere near the Oval Office.

Last night, just as many expected, Liz Cheney lost her primary in Wyoming against an extreme Republican.

I don’t agree with Cheney on much, but we do agree that our country should come before any party or any politician.

Cheney is right. Donald Trump is a threat to our nation, and so are all of the Republicans who continue to stand by him (including my former opponent Elise Stefanik, who replaced Cheney as Republican Caucus Chair).

Liz Cheney may have lost, but together we can carry on her mission to save our democracy from Donald Trump and the extremists who wish to tear it down.
