Folks,

It’s not just you — we all seem to be getting a barrage of robocalls lately.

These calls are not just unwanted but they’re also unlawful. Most originate abroad, but to reach your phone, they need an American gateway telephone company turning a blind eye to make a quick buck.

That’s why Josh has made it a top priority to hold accountable the companies that enable the robocalls and make a fraction of a penny off every call that passes through their networks.

In January, Josh sued gateway telephone service provider Articul8 for allegedly facilitating illegal and fraudulent telemarketing phone calls in our state. The company sent 65 million (!) fraud calls to North Carolinians in just a few months.

Now, Josh is leading a bipartisan coalition of 51 attorneys general to protect folks from robocalls. He put together this nationwide effort to coordinate similar suits against telecom providers on a 50-state basis by forming an Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force.

Folks, fraud like this needs to be stopped. Robocalls can be more than just annoying – they exist to scam people out of their hard-earned money.

If you agree we need more accountability in our fight against unwanted robocalls, will you add your name now to support the work Josh is doing to crack down on them? [[link removed]]

There’s still plenty of more work to do to protect our state’s consumers and hold scammers accountable, and Josh is committed to doing everything he can to stem the tide of robocalls in our state.

Thank you for your support,

— Team Stein
