Friend,
We have a question for you, Friend.
What will be the legacy of the 2022 midterms?
Here’s what we want to send you in December 2022 as we are
(gulp) gearing up for the 2024 presidential election: Together, we turned out millions of voters
across several key states to help secure President Biden and key
Democrats in the Senate, House, and statewide offices a resounding
victory over Trump and Trumpism. We kept Big Lie deniers out of
executive offices in swing states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and
Wisconsin.
Of course, we know that the
ultra-MAGA lunatics are aiming for a different legacy. They’re hoping
the 2022 midterms are a turning point for our democracy, where they
can permanently install a regime of extremists and election deniers
who will unilaterally decide our elections for decades to come. You
know who they are. Doug Mastriano in Pennsylvania. Adam Laxalt in
Nevada. Kristina Karamo in Michigan, to name a few.
One thing we keep saying: This
isn’t some fringe group of wackos anymore. This is who
the GOP is. Want receipts? Of course you do, via the
Washington
Post:

The numbers don’t lie. Election
deniers are overwhelmingly looking to take over elected offices across
the country. No matter what the nominees that have made it through the
primary gauntlet would have you believe (seriously, they’re pretending
Trump doesn’t exist and never endorsed them) – there is no real
intra-party dissent. No moderate wing of the GOP just needing a
majority to calm down. No. Just a full bore commitment to making The
Big Lie the absolute law of the land and hand the election in 2024 to
Trump or whoever they want.
There are 54 candidates (and likely
more in the coming days) that are looking to make this happen and
they’ve got a whole bunch of MAGA money at their disposal.
So let’s ask the question again, Friend. What do you
want the legacy of the 2022 midterms to be?
We
know which side you’re on. Donate today and help us decide the legacy
of the 2022 Midterms.
