This is a new level of alarming, team.

We already knew that the Republican nominee for Arizona secretary of state is about as extreme as they come. From speaking at a QAnon convention to participating in the Capitol riot on January 6th, Mark Finchem has made it clear that he’s farther than “far-right” -- he’s an anti-government conspiracy theorist.

But a new report from CNN uncovering Finchem’s disgusting social media history shows why this man belongs nowhere near the halls of power:

"Arizona Republican secretary of state nominee kept 'Treason Watch List' and posted about stockpiling ammunition on Pinterest"

A Pinterest board called “Treason Watch List” featuring people like Jesse Jackson and John Kerry? Photos of Barack Obama “alongside imagery of a man clad in Nazi attire making a Nazi salute”? Finchem’s social media also invoked the Holocaust to argue against gun violence prevention efforts, and called for stockpiling ammunition.

And if Republicans (and Donald Trump) get their way, this guy will be in charge of Arizona’s elections in 2024. My God.

The American SOS Project is going to do everything in our power to make sure he doesn’t succeed. Because our democracy -- already weakened by Donald Trump’s attacks -- simply cannot afford an extremist like Mark Finchem at the helm.

If you’re as appalled as I am right now, please join the fight and pitch in to defeat Mark Finchem in November:

Every day, we learn something new and horrifying about what these “America First” candidates believe. For all of us who care about the future of democracy, it’s gotta be all hands on deck and full speed ahead for the next 12 weeks until Election Day. Thank you for being a part of it.

Amy
