John,

Shannon has been holding corporations accountable to the people in courtrooms for over 20 years — when it comes to climate change and environmental protections, that’s exactly what we need.

It feels like every week we’re seeing new, anxiety-inducing news about climate change: record-hot summers, drought, wildfires, and only a short time to limit global warming the way we need to.

This isn’t about individuals using plastic straws or leaving a few lights on — it’s about corporate polluters who have lied and fought to protect their profits from any action that would save our planet and all of us from the devastating effects of climate change for decades.

That’s why Shannon is running for Attorney General. Will you chip in now so we can get her in office where she can stand up to corporate polluters and lead the fight against climate change?

Climate change is a huge issue that is intersectional and complex — that’s why, as Attorney General, Shannon’s ready to attack this issue from all sides. From holding corporations accountable to addressing environmental justice, she has a plan.

Shannon has already proven that she’s the right person to fight back against attempts by corporations to use the transition from fossil fuels as an opportunity to undermine worker protections and labor laws.

So she’s ready to pick up where Maura Healey’s groundbreaking litigation against Exxon Mobil left off and continue to hold the fossil fuel industry accountable for polluting our environment and putting our climate in jeopardy.

But that’s just for starters. Shannon will establish a Green Bank to invest in clean energy and environmental justice projects, funded by penalties collected from enforcement actions against polluters.

Those funds will ensure that we provide a just transition for workers as we move to a clean energy future and will pave the way for Shannon to continue to be a vocal advocate for free public transportation across Massachusetts and for a Green New Deal.

THIS is the type of leadership we need, John. The type of leadership that will root out polluters and take a proactive approach to building a cleaner, just world.

Will you join us in the fight for climate action by chipping in to Shannon’s campaign? The people of Massachusetts deserve an Attorney General who will take on the fight against climate change systematically, from every angle.

In solidarity,

Team Shannon
