This is transformational legislation. It is a much-needed investment in our work to tackle the climate crisis, and allows North Carolina to become a leader in the clean energy economy.

And this legislation couldn’t come at a more important time. Folks across North Carolina — and nationwide — are dealing with record-breaking heat waves, droughts, and devastating storms. This is a crisis that demands real solutions right now, and I’m grateful that we’re delivering some today.

Since I was elected to the House of Representatives nearly two years ago, my top priority has been making a difference in the lives of North Carolinians — and today, we’re doing just that.
