The Democrats’ latest bill to increase our taxes and government spending tells you all you need to know about their priorities. This bill gives tax breaks for the wealthy while increasing taxes on families making less than $400,000 a year, spends billions to advance the extreme Green New Deal agenda, and allows the IRS to have more staff than the Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol combined. It is clear the Democrats are more concerned about promoting a bloated, predatory federal government than they are of our current financial troubles. Amidst record gas prices and inflation rates, the last thing American families need is a tax-and-spend bill full of harmful leftist policies.

I recently launched a summer workforce initiative and website: TX24Works.com, a one-stop shop with links and information on workforce opportunities in North Texas. This week, we highlighted the healthcare industry, which encompasses thousands of jobs that look after the well-being of the amazing folks here. I am excited to provide these resources to North Texans and empower our workforce. Be sure to check out TX24Works.com/healthcare to learn more about job opportunities around North Texas!

As part of this week's healthcare focus, my office hosted a roundtable with North Texas healthcare leaders to discuss ways we can connect folks with jobs in this important industry.
Next week, I'll be highlighting the manufacturing industry, which encompasses thousands of jobs around DFW. On Monday, you can visit TX24Works.com/manufacturing to learn more.
