Jack, with the midterms less than three months away, we know folks in our Democratic community are feeling the pressure. The GOP is hellbent on imposing their extremist policies across our country — and all of us are acutely aware that it’s up to us to stop them.
But Jack, as high as the stakes are, we KNOW we can count on our core, grassroots Democratic community — and we’ve got some serious advantages on our side. Here are five reasons why we believe Democrats have what it takes to WIN in the midterms:
We represent the will of the people. On every major issue — from climate change to abortion rights to support for veterans — a BIG majority of Americans agree with Democrats. Republicans have consistently shown they are DRAMATICALLY out of step with the will of the people, as we saw in Kansas. And that’s going to be reflected on November 8.
We’ve got a MAJORITY of voters on our side. Joe Biden won the popular vote by a landslide in 2020, and we’re ready to activate that same Democratic base in the midterms — Republican voter suppression be damned.
We’re united. In almost every major race, Democrats have ALREADY rallied around a strong candidate — and rather than haggling over divisions in the primaries, we’re working together to elect top Democratic leaders up and down the ballot.
Republicans aren’t. In contrast, Republicans are running viciously contested primaries all around the country — leaving their base divided and their candidates on shaky footing. On top of that, their increasingly extremist candidates are already alienating GOP voters.
We’ve got an incredible slate of POWERHOUSE candidates. Our Senate slate alone includes all-stars like Raphael Warnock, Mark Kelly, Val Demings, John Fetterman, and many more champions who are ready to give our communities the leadership we deserve.
