Team, thank you!

Tuesday night’s victory was sweet! It was the result of hard work, and of course, your support! You made the difference. I am deeply appreciative for your commitment to my re-election and the trust DFL voters have invested in me.

You know I never take an election for granted. And in this race, I had an opponent who raised over $800,000 to defeat me. I knew I was in for a battle.  

But no candidate wins an election alone. Here in the 4th District, we do it as a DFL team: lots of hard work, lifting up our values, and treating voters with respect.

Over the past eight months, supporters, volunteers, and my campaign team never slowed down, and we never backed down. We organized, mobilized, and pounded the pavement until we got the job done! And you stood with me!

Our campaign’s message was positive. I shared with voters my record of delivering results for Minnesota families and all our communities. I told voters exactly what I am fighting for in Congress: women’s reproductive rights, human rights at home and abroad, universal healthcare, keeping our families safe, and ensuring our Boundary Waters wilderness is pristine forever!

I believe integrity, honesty, and decency still matter in DFL politics and that’s what my campaign delivered to voters this primary election. The result: 4th District voters gave us a primary election LANDSLIDE of 83.4%. 

Now, we focus on November and electing our DFL ticket while we fight to defend our democracy against the Trump Republicans and insurrectionists who want to take power.

We must win! And I am getting right back to work!
