At TakeAction Minnesota, we know primary elections are good for our democracy and make more politically possible. It was a huge night for bold, people-centered candidates. We are thrilled to share that the majority of TakeAction endorsed candidates running in #ThePeoplesPrimary will advance to the November election:
- Ilhan Omar for U.S. House
- Mary Moriarty for Hennepin County Attorney
- Rep. Aisha Gomez, Alicia Kozlowski, and María Isa Pérez-Hedges for state House
- Sen. Omar Fateh, Erin Maye Quade, and Zaynab Mohamed for state Senate
- Mai Chong Xiong for Ramsey County Board and Hollies Winston for Brooklyn Park Mayor
Two candidates who didn’t make it across the finish line, Amane Badhasso for Congress, and Chantal Oechsle for St. Cloud School Board are amazing leaders who ran because they saw something that their communities needed, and they stepped up.
