Beer distributors helping fight human trafficking in South Carolina

Last week, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced a new partnership with the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force and the South Carolina Beer Wholesalers Association. In the coming weeks, beer distributors will be undergoing training to recognize the signs of human trafficking. “You see the magnitude of this problem in South Carolina and across the country,” said Lance Boozer, the executive director of the South Carolina Beer Wholesalers Association. “It really hits close to home.”

S.R. Perrott breaks ground on facility expansion

Ormond Beach, Fla., beer distributor S.R. Perrott, Inc. held a ceremonial ground breaking on December 4^th as it begins work on expanding its warehouse. The expansion will add an additional 40,000 square feet to the warehouse. Owner & President Michele P. Connors says the expansion “reflects their commitment to the Ormond Beach community.”

Recently, several retailers have been hit with lawsuits for selling CBD infused products. Now a group of attorneys says the wave of class action litigation was almost inevitable, and that many cases will be put on ice until the FDA clarifies its ruling on CBD’s legality in food and beverages.
