There is a lot at stake when it comes to the upcoming midterms, but I’m reaching out to you today to talk about one issue in particular: our democracy. Can you chip in today to make sure that we keep Congress in the hands of those who will stand up for our democracy?

We’ve seen what happens when GOP politicians are elected and their extreme messages are amplified: attempts to overturn election results, misinformation that spreads like wildfire, and even a direct assault on our nation’s capital and democracy.

The January 6th committee hearings have revealed just how abhorrent the insurrection was and the extent to which our democracy was undermined. This attack was violent and destructive, and it was intentionally cultivated by a losing President.

What happened on January 6th was horrible, and we cannot let it happen again. But it will if we continue to elect people who will amplify these conspiracy theories.

Across the country — but especially in Georgia — we’ve seen Republicans repeat these election conspiracies time and time again. They’ve attacked and restricted our democracy with voter suppression bills and gerrymandering.
