This week, The Dallas Morning News published a story outlining the scandals and mishandlings of the Texas GOP over the last six months.

They said that if the state Republican party continues the way they've been going, Democrats have a real shot at taking control of the state house -- and Battleground Texas is working to make that a reality.

- Galveston County GOP Chairwoman Yolanda Waters was caught texting a racial slur to a fellow party official.
- A recently leaked GOP 2020 plan showed everyone just how nervous Texas Republicans are about maintaining their majority.
