Hey John,
Madison County, North Carolina is making the news for all the wrong reasons. They recently announced that they’re putting AR-15s in all of their elementary and high schools. Yes — they’re putting assault weapons in schools.
It’s been proven time and time again that more guns won’t stop gun violence, but instead, Madison County’s decision will put students’ safety at risk. This dangerous decision by policy makers in North Carolina further demonstrates that we need an assault weapons ban NOW.
The Assault Weapons Ban passed the House a week ago and is now in the Senate. Once Congress returns from recess, we’ll need to ramp up the pressure to make sure the bill passes and gets signed into law — and we’ll need your help to do it.
Can you chip in $3 to help fund our grassroots organizing team?

We’re planning to make noise in our senators' home districts in the coming weeks to urge them to vote on this crucial bill.
An assault weapons ban is the common-sense solution to stopping mass shootings in schools — putting AR-15s in schools is not.
Chip in today to help fund our upcoming grassroots efforts to pass the Assault Weapons Ban bill in the Senate.
