Friends,

Over the past few months, we have seen the devastating outcomes of climate change affect California and the world. Climate catastrophes are no longer the future, they are the present. This has been a terrifying time for climate advocates, but today we write to tell you that change is near.

Last night, the Senate passed a $750 billion bill that will be the most significant investments in climate action ever in this county.

The U.S. has one of the highest carbon emissions rates in the world, and it is our responsibility to take action and reduce our carbon footprint. But there is a lot more to be done and it's our job to fill in the gaps.

In Long Beach, we've already gotten started — implementing climate action into our 2023 budget. We will not only try to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but we will expand carbon neutrality efforts, transition away from fossil fuels, and address public health disparities. Long Beach is paving the path forward for climate action and providing a road map for other cities across the country.

These momentous changes would not be possible without Robert’s leadership in Long Beach, and he will be a climate leader in Congress as well. This deal is just the beginning of the work that needs to be done to save our planet, and Robert will fight tireless to create a healthy, livable planet for all of our children.

So if you can afford it, please use this link to contribute to Robert’s campaign for Congress. We need leaders like Robert in Congress who understand the need to make real change in our own communities and to advocate for climate action in every zip code.

We will create a more sustainable future for generations to come, together.

Thank you,

Team Robert Garcia
