June Consumer Price Index Report
For months, this Administration has been telling the American people that inflation would be "transitory" or "temporary."

They were wrong!

Earlier this month, the Consumer Price Report (CPI) - a major inflation indicator - for the month of June was released and boy, it was BAD. Over the last 12 months, there has been a 9.1% increase, the largest 12-month increase since November 1981.

Let's just take a look at the numbers. The price of:
  • Gasoline is UP 59.9%
  • Energy as a whole is UP 41.6%
  • Eggs are UP 33.1%
  • Chicken is UP 18.6%; and,
  • Milk is UP 16.4%

All of this is happening while wages are DOWN 3.6%!

It's clear that the Democrats' policies are causing pricing to skyrocket to places we haven't seen in decades.

At the end of the day, it is simple, inflation is not temporary, and it has proven to be a tax on ALL Americans. Instead of addressing the root causes of the crisis, Democrats are going to continue to push out-of-control spending policies. If we do not cut spending, implement a balanced budget, and enact budget guardrails, I fear what may come next.

It is past time to get out financial house in order!

For Texas and Liberty,
Pat Fallon
Member of Congress

Retirement of Corbett Howard
Earlier this month we attended the retirement ceremony of Mr. Corbett Howard - or as we like to call him, "Mr. Celina." Mr. Howard has served the City of Celina for over 20 years in many different capacities, as a city councilman, as the mayor, and much more. After many years of service Mr. Howard chose to retire from his role with the city. It was an honor to attend his retirement ceremony to reflect on all the wonderful things he has done for Celina and to present him an American flag for his dedication to service. We will miss Mr. Howard's contributions to Celina greatly!

Constituent Services Representative Erik Simien attended the retirement ceremony of Officer Robert Pemberton and read an Extension of Remarks written by Congressman Fallon. Mr. Simien also presented Officer Pemberton with a flag flown over the nation's capitol.
