John,

I’ve shared with you my stances on marijuana, abortion, climate, labor rights, and more. Today I want to share another aspect of the work I will bring to the Attorney General’s office: consumer protection. Check out my plan here: [[link removed]]

Massachusetts is privileged to have some of the strongest consumer protection laws in the country. But one thing 23 years of experience as a workers’ rights lawyer has taught me is that even the best laws do not enforce themselves.

I see the need for a strong consumer protection watchdog in the Attorney General’s office every time I look around at the ways inflation and price gouging are making life harder for workers and everyday people in Massachusetts.

Will you chip in now so I can get into office and protect the people of Massachusetts from abusive corporations and bad actors?

Consumer protection is about being proactive and taking a holistic approach to ensuring that businesses serve people and their customers, not exploit them.

As Attorney General, I will go after predatory businesses and scammers, investigating businesses that try to hide from accountability and silence workers and consumers.

I will fight back against banks that continue to use racist and predatory lending practices.

Importantly, I will use our consumer protection laws to investigate so-called crisis pregnancy centers who engage in deceptive practices to manipulate people out of seeking abortion services.

Consumer protection is one of the best ways the Attorney General’s office can address big issues like economic inequality and injustice while making a very real impact on the lives of people across the Commonwealth.

That’s why it’s so important that our next Attorney General has a plan to combat bad actors and abusive corporations, as well as having experience taking on those fights and winning.

John, I’m the only candidate in this race who has both of those things and is ready to start making a difference from day 1. And with only one month left until primary election day, there’s never been a better time to contribute to this campaign and be part of the fight.

In solidarity,
Shannon
