My name is Pat Ryan, and I’m running for Congress in the August special election to defend Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado’s seat.

We’re at a defining moment in our history. While everyday families struggle to put food on the table, extremists are choosing to attack our fundamental values — everything from women’s reproductive rights to voting rights. We deserve better.

Since launching our campaign, we’ve raised more than double our opponent and built a winning campaign to hold this critical seat. Now, with just 19 days left, national Republicans are pouring in money to stop our movement and enact their extremist agenda.

As a combat veteran, I have put my life on the line to defend our country’s foundational freedoms. Now as Ulster County Executive, I’ve helped steer my community through a once-in-a-century pandemic, provided direct financial relief to small businesses and residents, and re-invested in mental health services. And we did all of this while never raising taxes.

This race is not going to be easy – especially in this final 19-day stretch. Our upcoming special election will determine whether or not Democrats maintain this battleground seat and secure our House majority, meaning we need to step up.
