Earlier this year, I had to end my campaign for Congress due to the health of my family members.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and for your support for my campaign.

I’m happy to say my family members are doing a lot better now, and I’m grateful to have my family’s support as we continue the progressive fight.

I’m excited to announce the launch of The Six PAC, supporting six progressives running to represent rural communities like mine. Our first two endorsements:

J.D. Scholten (IA-04): A former baseball player and 5th generation Iowan, J.D. is up for a rematch against white nationalist Rep. Steve King, known for repeated tirades against immigrants, Muslims, and Jews. In 2018, he lost by only 3 points as Donald Trump won this Northwestern Iowa district by 27. Help J.D. finish the job in 2020 and chip in to his campaign.

Jessica Cisneros (TX-28): Jessica fights as an immigration lawyer to keep families together. Her Democratic opponent, Rep. Henry Cuellar, votes with Trump over 70% of the time, has an “A” from the NRA, voted to construct Trump’s wall in his district, and fundraised for a Republican congressman. Help Jessica give this safe blue seat the strong progressive it deserves in Congress and chip in to her campaign.

Rural progressives don’t start out with the same huge Rolodex that corporate candidates do -- that’s why, in my race, I was grateful for the grassroots donors who supported my campaign, and it's why The Six PAC is supporting rural candidates who aren’t afraid to run on their values.

Jessica and J.D. are running to replace fossil fuels with the vast wind and solar potential of our rural areas.

They will work towards Medicare for All and fight to save rural hospitals.

They will defend farmworkers and meat processing plant workers, and help farmers who have been devastated by Trump’s disastrous trade war.

And they’ll work to reduce the cost of college and invest in rural broadband, so that young people don’t have to leave their hometowns to work in high-tech jobs.

Jessica and J.D. are deeply rooted in their communities, and if they have the resources, they can get their message out, and build volunteer bases that will elect rural candidates up and down the ballot.
