Dear John,

We won our primary re-election campaign! I am humbled by and grateful for all the support from residents across the new Senate District 3 in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties.?We won with 82.8% of the vote.

To every volunteer who made calls, knocked on doors, or labeled/stamped mailings, thank you! We knocked on around 18,000 doors and made around 11,000 calls during the campaign.

To every donor who donated, whether it was $5 or $1000, thank you!

To every elected official and organization who endorsed our campaign, thank you!

Huge thank you to Sam, Miriam, and Vanessa, my campaign managers and field director; Soh, my forever campaign treasurer; Nina and Rajan, our canvassers; Toria, our superstar volunteer; and our interns Omar, Sydney, Tania, and Rainbow.

To my family, thank you for your love and support which makes this all possible.

I will keep working hard and getting things done for opportunity, access, equity, and justice. And we are going to work as hard as we can to win a Democratic majority in the Michigan Senate for the first time in almost four decades! From reproductive freedom to gun violence prevention and from protecting our voting rights to ensuring an economy that works for everyone, there is so much at stake this November.

I am excited about the work ahead and will be forever grateful for your support.

Humbly,
