Dear John,

WHAT’S HAPPENING : We need your help to raise $ 6,000 by August 12 in the ‘A Community Thrives’ Challenge (ACT) <[link removed]>. With your help, our immigrant and refugee neighbors will be able to step out and thrive.

WHY THIS MATTERS :
NVFS’ Multicultural Center (MC) serves more than 4,500 immigrants and refugees annually. Last year, 97% were survivors of trauma, 88% had low-income, and more than 70% were women and children. Arriving here, many face poverty, isolation, fear of deportation, and so much more.

The MC is the only local provider of affordable, culturally competent, and trauma-informed services.

And your support today will help:
• a child who was trafficked and abused recover and thrive
• a mother and survivor of domestic violence live safely and with dignity
• a survivor understand that they are not defined by their past trauma

HOW YOU CAN HELP : Donate through the ACT Challenge page <[link removed]>. All donations must be received through the 3rd party website to count towards the challenge goal.

After donating, please encourage your friends to do the same. Every dollar of your support will go towards providing affordable, culturally competent, and trauma-informed services for survivors starting over in Northern Virginia.

BONUS :
If we raise $ 6,000, we'll be eligible to receive up to $ 100,000 more through the ACT Challenge! Imagine though how many more lives we would be able to change right here in our community with more funding.

Will you donate today to help the individual suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, a child exposed to domestic violence, and the family torn apart by war and instability <[link removed]>?

With gratitude,
