John, with only one week until our primary Election Day, I’m certain of our goals. Campaigning isn’t easy, but I know democracy demands sacrifice and effort. I have risked everything, even my life, for our country. And I am giving this campaign everything I have. Because our democracy is worth it.
I’m a national security professional running to defend our democracy from dangerous radicalism that would destroy it. The attack on our Capitol on January 6th, 2021, was a key factor in my decision to seek elected office. I deeply believe that our country can only survive if we elect leaders who will uphold their oaths and honor the will of the people.
I’m a mother running to create a brighter future for my children and grandchildren. One of my sons, KP, is gay. Republicans would like to revoke his right to marry whoever he loves. I also have a daughter and granddaughter. They deserve to determine their own reproductive futures because having a child is completely life-changing. Yet the GOP would seek to ban abortion nationwide - and perhaps even restrict access to birth control - if they gain power.
I’m a daughter of Wisconsin running because our farmers, small-business owners, and families deserve a representative who will work as hard as they do. Our communities deserve a leader who will deliver real solutions to address economic hardship, create better educational opportunities, and secure rural healthcare access. I’m ready to work across the aisle with anyone who is willing to help.
