For the first time ever, tonight New York City’s speed cameras will be on 24/7 — and save lives.

Big news, Friend:

Our years of hard work have finally paid off!

Because of Andrew’s work in Albany, and the tireless support from hundreds of New Yorkers who signed our petition, starting today, speed cameras will officially be running 24/7 – and countless lives will be saved because of it.

This is a huge win for street safety because when speed cameras are on, they work: at locations where cameras are installed, speeding has dropped by over 70 percent on average, reducing fatalities by 55 percent and injuries by 17 percent.

We can’t thank all who supported this effort enough. Because of you, history has been made, and we have taken an incredible step towards finally reaching Vision Zero.

We can’t let our street safety champion in Albany lose this election: we need Andrew to keep working tirelessly in the State Senate to make our streets safer.

Can you join Team Gounardes and street safety advocates to talk to neighbors in Park Slope about Andrew this Saturday?

Andrew has been a true champion for  street safety in Albany, and now he needs your help to spread the word about his campaign, and his vision to keep making our streets safer for everyone. Please join us!

We made history today, friend. And we really hope to see you at our canvass this Saturday, August 6th, so we can continue to make history, together.

In solidarity,

Team Gounardes
