Too many of our seniors lack access to adequate healthcare resources impacting the quality of their lives on a daily basis – whether it is affordable, safe housing, transportation to quality healthcare.

A couple of years ago, the Division of Aging issued a state report on the financial impact of Alzheimer’s in North Carolina. Over the course of the next 20 to 30 years, Alzheimer’s and dementia could have a devastating effect on Medicaid.

With an aging population, we are looking down the barrel of a major public policy problem in which we are not prepared.

We need leaders in Raleigh who will stop the political gamesmanship and work together to fix the major issues facing our state. I’m running for Lt. Governor because I want to focus on helping families care for their aging seniors. We can help pay for it by regulating and taxing cannabis.
It’s a bold idea anchored in common-sense. We must make sure we can provide for the people who built our.

Families caring for their aging loved-ones need a voice in Raleigh. I work at the grassroots level to push policies that help our caregivers, provide funding for our low-income seniors to access food, shelter and healthcare.

Too many working families are struggling with this crisis – and it needs attention from our state government. I will work to carry the banner for our caregivers, senior care network and help our families who worry every single day about how they are going to pay for care for their parent.
